A new trailer for The Matrix Resurrections hit the internet today! This time around, we’ve been treated to even more looping goodness.
The new trailer gives us some insight into what’s going on. Trinity and Neo are back of course, but it seems like they’re joined by versions of familiar faces. One of the new characters bears a host of similarities to Agent Smith, previously played by Hugo Weaving. While this trailer gives us an idea as to what’s going on, the nature of this whole looping story still isn’t 100% clear.
The Matrix Resurrections is debuting in theaters and HBO Max on December 22nd. This is the last movie in HBO’s big streaming/theater experiment, an experiment that won’t be continued into 2022.
