Visionary writer and director Guillermo Del Toro is bringing his gothic romantic aesthetic to a literary classic – Pinocchio. The Oscar award winner provides a new twist on the story of a wooden puppet and his quest to become a real boy. The trailer for the film has been released and now we are sharing it with you. Pinocchio is directed by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson. The film features an all-star voice cast with Ewan McGregor as Cricket, David Bradley as Geppetto, and introducing Gregory Mann as Pinocchio. Other cast includes Finn Wolfhard, Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett, John Turturro, Ron Perlman, Tim Blake Nelson, Burn Gorman, with Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz and Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton.
The story of Pinocchio has been told a multitude of times, including re-imaginings of the tale. Films like A.I., Avengers: Age of Ultron, Bicentennial Man, and even Tron: Legacy all take inspiration from Carlo Collodi’s original tale.
