Visionary filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan’s latest release, Knock at the Cabin, lands on the big screen next month and anticipation for the home invasion/apocalyptic horror continues to grow. Numerous trailers have already given us a look at the director’s next nightmare, but a brand new featurette goes one step further, offering an inside look at the film from the perspective of its cast and crew. And you can check it out for yourselves, below.
Title A Look Inside, the in-depth featurette delivers some new footage from the film, alongside commentary from Shyamalan himself, and input from the film’s stars Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy, Army of the Dead), Rupert Grint (Harry Potter, Servant), and Nikki Amuka-Bird (Old).
The film, which is based on Paul Tremblay’s national bestseller The Cabin at the End of the World, follows the story of a young family who are taken hostage by four armed strangers whilst vacationing at a remote cabin. Once captive, the strangers demand the family make an unthinkable choice in order to avert the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.
Also starring in the film are Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Abby Quinn, and newcomer Kristen Cui.
While judgment on the film will have to wait until its release, the source material on which it is based has previously received glowing reviews from none other than the horror maestro himself, Stephen King, who described the book as “thought-provoking and terrifying, with tension that winds up like a chain” and “gripping, horrifying, and mesmerizing.”
Knock at the Cabin arrives in theatres on February 3rd.
