Let’s get this party started
Paramount has released a brand new trailer for their upcoming Dungeons & Dragons live-action release Honor Among Thieves – which you can check out below.
Starring Chris Pine (Star Trek, Wonder Woman), and Michelle Rodriguez (Fast and Furious, Resident Evil), the film will feature an original story set in the Forgotten Realms – an iconic fantasy setting central to the Dungeons & Dragons game franchise.
A full synopsis reads:
“A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.”
Other cast members making up the ragtag group of thieves are Rege-Jean Page (Bridgerton), Sophia Lillis (It, It Chapter Two), and Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom). Hugh Grant also stars as the film’s villain.
Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley (the duo behind 2018’s Game Night) serve as both writers and directors for the film.
Paramount has had a hugely successful run on the big screen over the past year: Top Gun: Maverick dominated the Box Office for the majority of 2022, earning a whopping return of nearly $1.5 billion (only to be surpassed by James Cameron’s Avatar 2), while horror release Smile shocked the filming world by earning over $200 million from a modest budget of only $17 million.
Alongside the release of the new Dungeons & Dragons movie, the studio will also bring us Scream 6, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning in 2023.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will land in theatres on March 31st.
