On February 1 2021, Westworld actress Evan Rachel Wood named ex-boyfriend Marilyn Manson as her abuser. Wood and Manson began dating in 2007 when she was a teenager. After a brief engagement, they broke up in 2010. About two years ago, Wood gave testimony about the abuse she had endured. At the time she did not name who the abuser was. In a tweet released on Wood’s official Instagram, she shared it was Manson.

Later, four other women shared stories of similar experiences with the rock singer. Manson later refuted these claims stating everything was “consensual,” and with “like-minded individuals.” Marilyn Manson was dropped from his record label and will reportedly be removed from the episodes he filmed of American Gods and Creepshow.

Mistake Puts Texas Residents on High Alert for Chucky

If you were wondering if 2021 was going to be as crazy as 2020, then this story may sway your opinion. The residents of the great state of Texas received an alarming alert to their cellphones. An Amber Alert was issued, but the details of the alert were quite perplexing. The alarm warned Texans to be on the lookout for Chucky. The message stated that Chucky was a suspect in a kidnapping, and provided a description of the cursed doll. Residents were asked to look out for a 3’1″ male “wearing blue denim overalls with a multi-colored striped long sleeve shirt and carrying a large knife.” Chucky’s race was listed as “doll.” The horrifying message also stated that Chucky’s victim was a 5-year-old boy named Glen. Chucky’s son…Glen. Confused? Us too. The Texas public safety department issued an explanation, which stated, “this alert is a result of a test malfunction. We apologize for the confusion this may have caused and are diligently working to ensure this does not happen again.” First Annabelle and now Chucky. Who’s next? Gizmo? ET?

The voice actress of Disney’s Pocahontas was caught not being as peaceful as the character she portrays. Irene Berard was arrested by authorities twice back in November of 2020. The bodycams from both incidents show Berard behaving erratically and screaming loudly. The voice actress can be heard screaming “white cops” and “I’m so crazy!” In one of the incidents, Berard charged an officer.  It is reported that Irene was inebriated during both arrests.

Netflix’s Live-Action Legend of Zelda Series Halted by Leak

If you were hoping to see Link destroy pots and throw chickens in a live-action format, you’ll have to keep waiting. Netflix had announced in 2015 that they were working on a live-action series based on the popular game, The Legend of Zelda. It’s been 6 years since the announcement but now we know that the show isn’t happening. Nintendo pulled the plug on the series due to Netflix leaking the news about the series too soon and seemingly without Nintendo’s permission. That wasn’t the only show that was canceled; the deal between Nintendo and Netflix also included a claymation style series about Star Fox. Netflix really screwed the pooch on this one.

If you can Choose to be Anyone, Choose to be Batman!

Many of us dream of being Batman. He’s got a cool costume, a cool cave, cool gadgets, and cool cars. He also has billions of dollars at his disposal. And a lifetime of emotional trauma. 23-year-old Vietnamese college student Nguyen Dac Chung created his own Tumbler. This battle tank of a Batmobile is almost identical to the one in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. Nguyen started this project last year. It took 500 million Vietnamese dongs (about $22,000 USD) to build this exclusive full-size and fully functional Tumbler. Despite being only 90% completed, the car has attracted attention on the street and made those on social media go batty! And to think most of us made bread during the pandemic.

Nothing Can Stop Sonic!

Netflix announced on their Facebook that Sonic will be in a new 3D animated series premiering on Netflix in 2022. The title of the new series is Sonic Prime. Will the show be a booming success as the films?
