How long have I been a cosplayer?
I have been cosplaying for almost a year and a half.
What got you into cosplay?
I always wanted to go to a con and the first con I went to, I saw a ton of cosplayers. I really wanted to cosplay as well, so I overnighted a cosplay and came in cosplay day 2 of the con.
Do you make, buy or is it a combination?
Combination! I used to mainly buy my cosplays but more recently have been making parts myself and am working on making my first full cosplay for Dark Magician Girl [from Yu-Gi-Oh]!

Favorite thing about being a cosplayer?
Getting to dress up as characters I love while meeting a ton of new friends with similar interests. I really enjoy the social aspects of cosplay and meeting new people. I also love learning new crafting skills and
the environment where everyone is so kind and helpful.
Least favorite thing?
The community overall is extremely kind and accepting. It is also very large now, so you will always have some bad eggs. Sometimes you will run into people who will judge more than necessary or not understand that cosplay is not consent.
What do you do for work outside of cosplay?
I am currently looking for a position in finance – more specifically in fixed income asset management.
What are your top 3 fandoms?
One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, and isekai fandoms.
What cosplay are you planning next?
Next cosplays I am planning [are] Dark Magician Girl and Spirit Blossom Ahri with all 9 tails!
What’s one piece of advice for new cosplayers?
Just go for it, do it, go to cons, You’ll have an amazing time.
