1. Smile 2 took first place at the box office this weekend bringing in 23 million dollars domestically. This is on par with the first movie which took in about 22.5 million. This is a great time for horror releases because, during the spooky season, people want to see some fun horror films. The critic and audience reviews have been good with people claiming that this sequel does everything better than its predecessor. So, look for this one to remain in the top five next week as well.
2. The Wild Robot is capturing the hearts of everyone it seems. The movie made another 10.1 million dollars this weekend bringing the global box office to almost 200 million dollars. This is a huge win for Dreamworks and this movie could easily win the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
3. Terrifier 3 has been so impressive with how much the horror fans have flocked to see it. This weekend it took in another 9.3 million dollars. The movie only cost 2 million dollars to make and has taken in about 42 million dollars globally. There will definitely be more Terrifer films in the future.
4. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice took in 5 million more dollars this weekend. The long-awaited sequel has been in the top five every single weekend since its release and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to slow down.
5. We Live in Time took in 4.1 million dollars. The romantic film stars both Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield and has been getting really good reviews. There are even talks of Oscar nominations in the near future.
