WEBTOON and Capcom Introduce “Monster Hunter Wilds” Fan Contest

With WEBTOON Entertainment Inc. continuing to expand their company collaborations, Capcom enters the chat with their new game Monster Hunter Wilds. This new contest partnership allows US-based creators to submit a webcomic on WEBTOON, picking from three prompts based on the Monster Hunter universe. Prompts can be found on the WEBTOON Branded Contest profile under the Monster Hunter Webcomic Contest series.

Prompts include:

  • Hunter’s First Hunt: You enter the world of Monster Hunter and embark on your first adventure as a Hunter. Create a webcomic that captures what happens next — whether that’s a comical mishap, an action-packed encounter or an unexpected twist!

  • Day in the Life of a Monster: Create a webcomic from the POV of the Monster. Expand of the monster’s thoughts, fears, or origin story.

  • Your team: Palico, Gemma, and Alma: The Guild has organized the expedition into small units — each with its own hunter, handler, smithy, and Palico. Create a short webcomic featuring one of the iconic characters from the Monster Hunter universe…

The contest launched this past week on January 17th and has a deadline of February 19th, giving creators around a month to get their submissions in.

Capcom’s upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds game – nominated for “Most Anticipated Game” at this year’s Game Awards – will launch on Feb. 28., right on time with the winners announcement.

Entries will be evaluated by a team of judges from WEBTOON Entertainment and Capcom. Finalists will be announced on Feb. 24, with winners revealed on Feb. 28.

The Monster Hunter Wilds prize breakdown includes:

·       Grand Prize Winner (3): Monster Hunter Wilds merchandise kit, Yian Kut Ku Plush, and digital code for new Monster Hunter Wilds video game, launching on Feb. 28
