A new version of the dice throne has appeared for you to enjoy, Marvel Dice Throne. Take on the role of your favorite Marvel characters like Thor, Loki, or Scarlet Witch in a one-on-one duel, team battles, or free-for-alls. Attack opponents and activate abilities with dice rolls and accumulate combat points for ability upgrades.

If you just can’t get enough, then there are two additional hero boxes that you can add to your roster: Captain Marvel and Black Panther or Black Widow and Dr. Strange. Each character has its own set of dice, player board, and unique deck of cards. Hopefully, in other expansions, we get to see Iron Man, Captain America, Hawkeye, and Hulk, as well as some other iconic past Avengers like Wolverine.
Marvel Dice Throne was co-designed by Nate Chatellier and Manny Trembley, who have previously worked together on the original Dice Throne and the co-op game expansion for the Dice Throne Adventures series, alongside Gavan Brown – who also co-created Dice Throne Adventures and made artwork for the series with Trembley.
The original Dice Throne was released in 2018 as a board game with two to six players battling it out as a roster of heroes with various play styles and abilities. In the game, players can either team up in a multitude of different ways – such as 2v2 or 3v2 – or can compete in a free-for-all against each other. Players attack their opponents by rolling their heroes’ unique set of dice and unleashing an ability of their choice. Using their combat cards, players can spend combat points on initiating specific effects to provide their hero with permanent upgrades, statuses, or other benefits.
