Another A-List Actress Caught in the Web

Nerve and Scream Queens actress Emma Roberts has been caught in the spider-verse web! Roberts has joined the cast of Sony Pictures’ Madame Web spin-off film.  Emma Roberts joins an all-star cast that includes Dakota Johnson, Sidney Sweeney, Celeste O’ Conor,  Isabela Merced, and Tahar Rahim.

S.J. Clarkson is directing the film for Sony. The screenplay is currently being written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Kerem Sanga wrote the previous version of the script.

Madame Web is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics. She first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #210, published November 1980, and was created by writer Denny O’Neil and artist John Romita Jr. She is usually depicted as a supporting character in the Spider-Man comic book series, where she appears as an elderly woman with myasthenia gravis, connected to a life support system resembling a spiderweb. Madame Web’s real name is Cassandra Webb. She is a paralyzed, blind, telepathic, clairvoyant, and precognitive mutant, allowing her to work as a professional medium.

There are currently no details on who Roberts will be playing. Share your guesses below.
