Ice Nine Kills Joins Joe Bob Briggs for New Season of The Last Drive-In

The man, the myth, the legend is back once again this week for season 7 of his highly successful show. For those who don’t know, Joe Bob Briggs is a horror host who would host movies for TNT’s Monstervision in the 90s. In 2018, he returned to the streaming platform Shudder for a marathon. It broke the internet and was so popular that Shudder gave him his own show called The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs. The rest is history.

The show usually features Joe Bob and his co-host Darcy the Mailgirl introducing different kinds of horror movies. The movies are usually low-budget or cult classics, but sometimes some mainstream films are shown as well. Joe Bob Briggs will cut in during breaks to do interviews, give tons of trivia, and have witty banter with his co-host.

This is easily Shudder’s biggest draw and fans will be happy to see season 7 premiere tomorrow (March 7th). There will be a double feature this season on the first Friday of every month throughout the year. In addition to this, there will also be holiday specials. It has been heavily hinted that one of the movies during the premiere will be 1925’s Phantom of the Opera, to celebrate the 100th year anniversary. To celebrate, lead vocalist of horror-themed metal band Ice Nine Kills, Spencer Charnas, will be joining the show. It is sure to be a great start to another fantastic season.

The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs season 7 premieres Friday March 7th on Shudder at 9 pm EST.
