As we edge even closer to the arrival of House of The Dragon, a new featurette has been released which delves further into the history of House Targaryen – and you can check it out below.
In this latest look, Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, and more of the cast and crew discuss how House of the Dragon takes place during the height of the Targaryen reign over Westeros, and how that influenced the story and design of the series. From a time of decadence through to the impending civil war, it certainly seems that House of The Dragon could offer a Westeros as we’ve never seen before.
The upcoming Game of Thrones prequel is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and will chronicle the story of House Targaryen, including the events that lead to the infamous civil war known as Dance of the Dragons.
The series will star Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Milly Alcock, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel, and Rhys Ifans.
Game of Thrones was met with less than favorable reviews from fans and critics alike, but early reviews from those who attended the House of The Dragon premiere have been very positive.
Here are just a few reactions.

#HouseoftheDragon REVIEW: FIRE WILL REIGN! Wow. Violent! Shocking! EPIC. Better than GoT & Breaking Bad. HBO does it again. This isn’t just another fantasy show, it’s the BEST series ever made! Great action & music too. A fitting end setting up what’s next. #HotD #GameofThrones pic.twitter.com/NfcEInpSHI

I did not like the last season of #GameofThrones. At all. But I’ll admit the series premiere of #HouseOfTheDragonHBO is really well done and I’ll definitely continue watching. After the episode ended they showed an extended preview of the season and looks cool. pic.twitter.com/wzuIMkZWe0
