Here is what we already covered this week: 

Boss Team Games comes with a genuinely groovy special edition for their upcoming Evil Dead: The Game release! The game is scheduled to be released on May 13, 2022.

Disney Plus has achieved success with its shows The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Lucas Films and Disney aim for 3/3 with its next series — Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Gumby, the living…play-doh…slime…goo…is making a return thanks to a new deal with FOX Studios.

ITZY is a five-member Korean girl group known for their mixture of trendy and girl crush concepts, which is perfectly displayed in the new ad for Pokemon: Legend of Arceus.

Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation are teaming up to reboot the classic cartoon–The Smurfs.

FAN EXPO Philadelphia, formerly Wizard World, announced their voice actor lineup!

Monkeypaw Productions have released the first teaser trailer for Nope. That all but confirms a full trailer released this Super Bowl Sunday.

Disney and Pixar have released a brand new trailer for their upcoming release, Lightyear.

Disney Books is releasing a sequel to the cult film this Summer. Long Live the Pumpkin Queen by Shea Ernshaw will be hitting bookstores on July 5, 2022.

Netflix has released a brand new trailer for Vikings: Valhalla. Set 100 years after the events of Vikings, it will serve as a follow-up to the original series.

More Than Hands Are Revealed for Rings of Power 

Magazine, Vanity Fair, gave an up-close look at the characters and sets of Amazon’s Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. This prequel series is a return to middle earth before The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring. Amazon has spent a billion dollars on this series, and from the looks of it…it is money well spent! The Rings of Power will debut on  Prime Video on September 2, 2022.

A Glorious Bastard Heads to Netflix

Netflix is adapting the story of Bastard!! For its original anime releases. They released a teaser trailer that showcases the anime’s unique story and animation style.

The popular streaming service provided a synopsis for the anime: “Four hundred years since the collapse of modern civilization, the world is dominated by the chaos of swords and sorcery. The Dark Rebel Army, which plans to resurrect the god of destruction Anthrasax, continues to expand its power in a bid to rule the world, led by the overwhelmingly powerful Four Divine Kings. The Kingdom of Metallicana on the Central Metallion Continent assaulted the sorcerer-led Dark Rebel Army. To save the kingdom, Tia Noto Yoko, daughter of the Great Priest, has a decision to make — she must resurrect the great ancient wizard who once plotted to rule the world and who is sealed within her childhood friend Lucien Renren. The only thing that can undo the seal is a virgin’s maiden kiss. Facing imminent danger, Yoko puts her lips on Lucien’s, and at that moment, dark and powerful energy fills the air. Bastard!! It will arrive on Netflix late this year.

Double Marvel Castings 

Anthony Ramos and Russell Crowe
Marvel and Sony have shared casting news this week. Russell Crowe will be playing Kraven The Hunter’s father. He will be playing the opposite of Aaron Taylor Johnson, who plays the title role of the “Spider-Man” spin-off. Over at Marvel, they have cast Hamilton actor Anthony Ramos for a secret role in the Disney Plus series IronHeart.

Futurama has a Future with Hulu
Bender farting ? Futurama, the adult cartoon centered about individuals living space in the future, gained a cult following for its raunchy and raw comedy. Hulu has ordered 20 new episodes of Futurama, with production on the latest episodes of Futurama to begin in March. Hulu hopes to have the series return in 2023. Creators David X. Cohen and Matt Groening are returning for the revival series, as are original cast members Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, and David Herma. John DiMaggio, the iconic voice of Bender and several other supporting characters, is not currently attached to the project.

New Guests are Checking into the  Continental


John Wick’s spin-off series, The Continental, has new guests checking in. The Continental announced the addition of five new actors to the show’s ensemble cast. The latest actors to join the series include Supergirl’s Katie McGrath, Ray McKinnon (Rectify), Adam Shapiro (Never Have I Ever), Mark Musashi (Fear the Walking Dead), and Marina Mazepa (Malignant). The Continental will explore the origin behind the hotel-for-assassins, which increasingly has become the centerpiece of the John Wick universe. John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently set to enter theaters on March 24, 2023, while The Continental has yet to select a release date.
