UPDATED: Alan Burnett has Written a Script for New Batman: TAS Project

Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy announced at LA Comic Con during the Batman Animation Panel that Alan Burnett has written a new script based on the ’92 Batman: The Animated Series.
The series is an audiodrama that, if greenlighted, will include the return of Kevin Conroy as Batman. Will Friedle (Terry McGinnis/Batman Beyond), and John Glover (The Riddler) were also on the panel and Glover indicated he would be interested in reprising his role. The new Batman: The Animated Series project will be on HBO Max and/or spotify, should it come to fruition. Discussions are in progress.

Alan Burnett is a well-known TV writer/producer who has written for Warner Bros. Animation, Hanna-Barbera Productions, DC Comics, and Walt Disney television animation. Burnett famously worked on Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, and Batman: Gotham by Gaslight just to name a few.

No further details were conveyed by Conroy, but we will provide new information as it becomes available.
