TRANSFORMERS SLAMDANCE Sword Dancer Dr. Wu 3rd Party Review

The Transformers G1 Slamdance set, made up of Grand Slam and Raindance, is a hard set to find at a decent price and won’t scale with the current line of cassette-bots. Dr. Wu has produced Sword Dancer, made from Traveler Plane and Patriot Tank, which is a great homage to the original G1 cassettes. Captain Kyle reviews them to see if they’ll fit into your collection (and into Blaster).

Grand Slam and Raindance came out in the Transformers Generation One era and were one of two sets of US-released combiner cassettes. While in Japan they had some dinosaur cassettes that merged, this was a new concept released in the United States. Grand Slam and Raindance combined to form Slamdance and faced off against Squawk Talk and Beast Box, who formed Squawk Box. Which Dr. Wu has also created new versions of those as well (see the review here). This set of cassettes, by Dr. Wu, is Traveler Plane and Patriot Tank, who become Sword Dancer. They are in scale with the other cassettes that fit into Soundwave and Blaster.
