The Quintesson Allicon from the War for Cybertron Earthrise Transformers line is a toy we’ve been waiting for since the movie in 1986. Neither Autobot nor Decepticon, the warrior serves his cruel masters, the Quintessons, and also doesn’t reciprocate Energon goodies.
The Allicon Transformers is the first representative of the Quintessons that Hot Rod and Kup meet on Quintessa. I don’t think the mechanical squid thing counts (but we’re waiting for that figure). This foot soldier in the Quintesson army is loyal and doesn’t have a ton of initiative. The Quintessons were quite a mystery for those watching the movie, but their sinister relationship with the Transformers and Cybertron was revealed in the Five Faces of Darkness opener to the animated Transformers series.
