Actor Tony Todd passed away from undisclosed causes on November 8, 2024. He would have celebrated his 70th birthday early next month.
While Todd’s decades-long acting career has seen him appear in a wide array of movies and TV shows, he is hailed as an icon in the horror movie community. His resume includes the titular character of all four movies in the Candyman franchise, Grange in the original The Crow, Ben in the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead, Dr. Jekyll / Mr. Hyde in the 2006 adaptation of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and Bludworth in Final Destination 1, 2, and 5 (as well as the voice of the Devil statue in Final Destination 3). He was rumored to be reprising his role as Bludworth for Final Destination: Bloodlines next year. Some of his non-horror roles include Dan in The Man From Earth, Kurn in Star Trek, and the voice of Dreadwing in Transformers Prime.
We at Fandom Spotlite would like to express our condolences to his friends, family, and fans.
