The Cobra Kai Season 5 Trailer Is Here! Let’s Begin!

Netflix has released the trailer for Season 5 of the fan-favorite martial arts series Cobra Kai – which you can check out below.

The Cobra Kai series got its start in 2018 on the streaming service Youtube Red.  The series ran for two successful seasons before Youtube decided to stop producing original scripted programming.  Prior to this decision production had already wrapped on Season 3 for the series – leaving the martial-art series without a home.  Luckily for the series (and its fans) Netflix acquired the series where it became one of the streaming service’s most successful properties.

If you happen to not be familiar with the series — Cobra Kai follows Johnny Lawrence 34 years after being defeated in the 1984 All-Valley Karate Tournament by Daniel Larusso. Without giving anything away, the series brilliantly brings fans to the present-day lives of the two rivals in a way that would have Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris / How I Met Your Mother) celebrating for joy.

The battle for the soul of the Valley may be over, but the war is just beginning…

When we last saw our favorite karate kids Miyagi-Do Karate, and Eagle Fang Karate are at risk of being shut down permanently after a bet was made with Cobra Kai (under the direction of John Kreese and Terry Silver) had won the All-Valley Karate Tournament. But we know LaRusso and Lawrence will not go down that easy!

Fans still have time to do a 40-episode re-watch of the series for a refresher before the new season begins.

There question still remains if Season 5 will be the end for Cobra Kai, or if we will see Season 6 of one of our favorite martial arts franchises.  But we certainly hope for at least one more season!

Cobra Kai season 5 is set to hit Netflix Friday, September 9, 2022.
