Netflix Reveals First Look Teaser For Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams

Netflix’s “Geeked Week” is underway and the annual virtual event kicked off by giving us our first look at the upcoming Addams Family spin-off series, Wednesday

Described as “a twisted new series from the mind of Tim Burton”, the spin-off will follow Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. That’s where she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.

Jenna Ortega (Scream, X) is tasked with taking on the iconic role and now we have a closer look at the character via the release of a teaser trailer and image.

The short teaser doesn’t give much away but it does reveal Ortega in full costume, displaying the character’s iconic pigtails and black and white polka dot dress.

Check it out below.

Starring alongside Ortega in the series are Luis Guzmán as Gomez and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia. Christina Ricci, who previously played Wednesday, will also appear.

Wednesday will run for eight episodes and is directed by the infamous Tim Burton.

No release date has been confirmed but after this teaser, we expect more details soon.
