Netflix has released a trailer for the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot, which you can watch below!
Serving as a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original, the film reintroduces the iconic Leatherface to a new generation.
The trailer delivers a high level of blood and gore, as well as a moment of comedy that sees Old Man Leatherface live-streamed on a party bus!
Yep, it’s definitely a new era…
The reboot is very much in the same vein as other legacy sequels like Terminator: Dark Fate and Halloween (2018), and the trailer gives off huge vibes of the latter. Not only do we see a brand new group of potential victims, but the return of Sally Hardesty!
The films official synopsis reads:
Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teenage sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their friends Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson), head to the remote town of Harlow, Texas to start an idealistic new business venture. But their dream soon turns into a waking nightmare when they accidentally disrupt the home of Leatherface, the deranged serial killer whose blood-soaked legacy continues to haunt the area’s residents — including Sally Hardesty (Olwen Fouéré), the sole survivor of his infamous 1973 massacre who’s hell-bent on seeking revenge.
