Sony is steadily moving ahead with their Spiderverse solo films. Recently, Dakota Johnson was announced to be starring in the Madame Web solo film. Johnson will be joined by Euphoria actress Sidney Sweeney.
Many will know Sweeney for her role as Cassie on HBO’s teen drama, Euphoria. The American actress has also had roles in The Handmaid’s Tale, Sharp Objects, The White Lotus, Nocturne, and Night Teeth.
There are no details on what character Sidney Sweeney will be playing but we have a pretty good guess…
She is sometimes referred to as Spider-Woman. Arachne’s comic book history with the villainous trio Deathweb could be part of the plot of the Madame Web film. Also, it does help that Sweeney is a dead ringer for the character.
