How long have you been a cosplayer?
Since 2011!
What got you into cosplay?
The first convention I went to was New York Comic Con 2010 and all the cosplayers looked so cool. They looked like they were having fun and I wanted to look as cool at them.
Do you make, buy, or is it a combination?
Combination! I don’t have a ton of space in my apartment to have a full crafting set up, so I try to piece together what I can and make what I can, it’s rare [that] I buy a full cosplay.
First cosplay?
Pikachu from Pokémon! It was also the first cosplay I did where I made parts of it. I made the ears and tail.
Latest cosplay?
Killua Zoldyk from Hunter x Hunter
Favorite thing about being a cosplayer?
The endless amount of ways you can express your creativity. It’s so cool that 10 people can do the same character and they’ll all look different!
Least favorite thing?
The fact that everyone seems to feel entitled to give you their opinions.
What do you do for work outside of cosplay?
Pharmacy technician

What’s one piece of advice for new cosplayers?
Trust the process and have fun with it. Don’t let other people tell you how to cosplay.
