Wheeljack has been a popular character since the days of Generation One back in 1984. His original toy was from the Diaclone line. Now, 36 years later, a new Wheeljack toy emerges that puts almost every other version to shame. The War for Cybertron: Earthrise line has been a great homage to the original G1 line and outside of the Masterpiece version, this Wheeljack is the best version yet.
Wheeljack as a character is an inventor who sometimes has issues with his inventions. He built the Dinobots (in the cartoon… before history was changed), the Immobilizer and many other inventions.
