Square Enix Announces Two New Kingdom Hearts Games

Kingdom Hearts has been a beloved franchise since it was originally released 20 years ago. In celebration of its anniversary, Square Enix released a trailer showcasing the future of the series. Take a look at the 7-minute long trailer below.

We will now show you live footage of me (Yali) after watching the trailer:

The epic trailer reveals two new games are on the horizon. Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link is the new mobile game, in the same style as Unchained and Dark World. Kingdom Hearts 4 picks up after the traumatic events of Kingdom Hearts 3. Kingdom Hearts 4 is making use of a new engine that provides life-like graphics.  My personal theory is that the need for more “real” looking characters could be due to the possible addition of either Marvel or Star Wars properties. However, the graphics only show the trademarks of Disney and Pixar.

The video is a compilation of trailers revealed during the KINGDOM HEARTS 20th ANNIVERSARY EVENT held in Tokyo on April 10, 2022.

The trailers do not indicate any specific release dates for either game.
