This past weekend, we saw a popular Marvel superhero make box office history. Meanwhile, Christopher Nolan continues to prove his movies make money, and Moana continues to fizzle out. Here are your box office results.
1. Spider-Man: Brand New Day made cinematic history by bringing in 355 million dollars domestically in only 3 days. This is the second highest grossing opening weekend of all time, only following Avengers: Endgame by 2 million. Worldwide, the MCU’s newest Spider-Man movie has already made almost one billion dollars. This massive success could be due to the fact that many fans were eager to see what would happen after No Way Home, which came out 5 years ago. It is truly incredible. Stay tuned as Spider-Man continues to break records.

2. The Odyssey continues to make money, bringing in another 51 million dollars. The epic now stands at around 911 million worldwide. This movie should have no problem reaching a billion, especially with IMAX screenings sold out at many places all the way up to October.

3. Toy Story 5 made another 6.3 million dollars. The Pixar movie has already hit the one billion dollar club. It wouldn’t surprise me if they start making a Toy Story 6 soon.

4. Minions & Monsters took in 5.8 million. Despicable Me movies were once a huge moneymaker but not many people have checked out this one despite it having some of the best reviews of the franchise.

5. Moana took in 5.3 million dollars. Maybe people are finally catching onto just how lazy some of these Disney remakes are. It does not seem that this movie will make much of a profit overall.
