Get Spirited Away By The Music of Joe Hisashi in Detroit

If you are a fan of the lovely music featured in Studio Ghibli films, you won’t want to miss Fever’s newest concert event. This exciting event will appeal to music lovers and anime fans alike. Candlelight concerts are bringing the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience to Detroit at the historic and beautiful Redford Theatre.

This Candlelight Concert event will feature the Listeso String Quartet who will play the music of Joe Hisashi. The program includes numerous scores from films like Howl’s Moving Castle to Ponyo. The setlist includes songs such as:

  • Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind – Opening Theme
  • My Neighbour Totoro – Tonari no Totoro – Main Theme
  • Kiki’s Delivery Service – Umi no Mieru Machi – A Town with an Ocean View
  • Princess Mononoke – Main Theme
  • Spirited Away – Inochi no Namae – Name of Life
  • Ponyo – Gake no Ue no Ponyo – Ponyo on the Cliff
  • Howl’s Moving Castle – Merry Go Round of Life

Along with many other musical scores featured in the program, this event has a special ambiance like no other musical experience. Hundreds of candles will illuminate the venue, creating a peaceful atmosphere that will add to the overall listening experience.

Candlelight: The Best of Joe Hisaishi will be held at the Redford Theatre on July 7th. The event has two showtimes, 6:00 p.m., and 8:30 p.m., and each concert lasts 65 minutes. Ticket prices start at $32 and seating is assigned on a first come first served basis in each zone for this event.
