How long have you been a cosplayer?
I have been cosplay[ing] for a little over 4 years now.
What got you into cosplay?
I got into cosplaying because of my little cousin Koda. They wanted me to dress up for a movie we saw and I just haven’t stopped.
Do you make, buy, or is it a combination?
Most of the cosplay I have are thrifted and I just alter them myself. I do also buy my cosplays. I prefer to get them second hand and put my own spin on them.
First cosplay?
My first cosplay was Shouta Aizawa from My Hero Academia.
Latest cosplay?
My latest cosplay that I debuted was Idia Shroud from the game Twisted wonderland.
Favorite thing about being a cosplayer?
My favorite thing about being a cosplayer, is being able to inspire and meet other people. I am considered a plus sized cosplayer, so it’s wonderful to know that by doing what I do can show other people that they can do it too.
Least favorite thing?
My least favorite thing about being a cosplayer is the fact there is some bullying In the community.
What do you do for work outside of cosplay?
Outside of cosplaying, I am a department lead at a retail store
What are your top 3 fandoms?
My top three Fandoms are definitely Inuyasha, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Black Butler.
What cosplay are you planning next?
An upcoming cosplay of mine that I’m very excited about is Ciel Phantomhive from Black Butler. Specifically his pink ball gown.
What’s one piece of advice for new cosplayers?
A piece of advice that I would give to new cosplayers is, don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t do it. As long as you try and you are driven, you’ll make it. Don’t let anything stop you. Be yourself and do what makes you happy.
