Fans Cry Happy Tears Thanks to Nintendo Direct
Nintendo aired its most recent Nintendo Direct video on YouTube this week. There was a lot revealed but the standout was the trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Breath of the Wild. The long-awaited sequel has Hyrule facing evil once again, but this time its powers are stronger and darker. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released on May 12, 2023, on Nintendo Switch.
“Another one” – Disney
The House of Mouse is looking to invest in existing IPs as they recently greenlit several sequels. Zootopia, Toy Story, and Frozen will all be getting new feature films. These three films are still profitable for Disney in the merchandise depart; it makes sense to continue to milk the proverbial cow. However, all three movies ended in a definitive manner. Perhaps the Zootopia sequel confirms it will be a playable world in Kingdom Hearts 4.
A Closer Look at the Upper Moons
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will soon return for season 3 of the popular anime series. Season 3 will feature Tanjiro’s time in the Swordsmith Village. To promote the upcoming season a reel was released to give fans a closer look at the villainous Upper Moons. Though no one asked to see Rengoku’s murderer again. Demon Slayer returns in April of this year.
HBO Hasn’t Had the Last of The Last of Us
The Last of Us TV series has been breaking records, breaking hearts, and breaking apps. The show is based on the video game of the same name and stars Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, and Gabriel Luna. The hit series has already been given the green light for a second season. Season 1 is only 4 episodes in and we are not certain how it will end. Ian Alexandar, who voices Lev in the sequel game is ready and willing to reprise the role in the live-action adaptation. We hope HBO gives Alexandar the green light too.

Owen Wilson stars as Carl Nargle, Vermont’s #1 public TV painter who is convinced he has it all: a signature perm, custom van, and fans hanging on his every stroke… until a younger, better artist steals everything (and everyone) Carl loves. Stargirl Co-Creator Passes Away
Comic Book Artist and Co-Creator of DC’s Stargirl, Lee Moder has passed away. Moder was 53 years old. According to reports, Lee Moder died in his home around January 15, 2023. We at Fandom Spotlite would like to send our sincerest condolences to Moder’s family, friends, and fans during this difficult time.
Evil Has Taken Up a New Residence
Death Island is a new CG animated film and sequel to Resident Evil: Vendetta. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is distributing the film worldwide excluding Japan Summer 2023. D.S.O. agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. Meanwhile, B.S.A.A. agent Chris Redfield is investigating a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, where the cause of the infection cannot be identified. The only thing the victims have in common is that they all visited Alcatraz Island recently. Following that clue, Chris and his team head to the island, where a new horror awaits them. Directed by Eiichiro Hasumi (Assassination Classroom) from a screenplay by Makoto Fukami (Psycho-Pass).
