This week there have been significant casting announcements for some of the most anticipated projects in Fandom. We decided to put them together for your and my convenience. This is the Fandom Spotlite Cast List.
Kraven The Hunter
Christopher Abbott(Girls) will be joining the all-star cast of Kraven the Hunter. Abbott will be playing Spider-Man villain, The Foreigner. The Foreigner is a notorious villain in the comics with connections to the Hobgoblin. Reports stated Abbott would portray the protagonist in the film. A villain in the movie about villains?
Gotham Knights
The CW’s series Gotham Knights will focus on Batman’s most famous sidekicks. Recent casting suggests that the series will also include the children of some of Batman’s villains. Olivia Rose Keegan will play the antiheroic Duela Dent, known in the comics as The Joker’s Daughter, Navia Robinson will play fan-favorite Robin Carrie Kelley, and Oscar Morgan will play an originally-created character named Turner Hayes. They join Fallon Smythe as Harper Row and Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row.
One Piece
One Piece is on the anime series Netflix has talked itself about bringing to life. The streaming giant has added six additional actors to its cast. Morgan Davies ( The Evil Dead: Rise), Ilia Isorelýs Paulino (The Sex Lives of College Girls), Aidan Scott ( Between the Devil), Jeff Ward ( Hack), McKinley Belcher III (Ozark), and Vincent Regan (300) have all joined the series.
Blue Beetle
Blue Beetle is a live-action feature film coming to HBO Max. Cobra Kai’s Xolo Maridueña will be playing the titular hero. He will be joined by Bruna Marquezine, the love interest Penny, and Belissa Escobedo will play Jaime’s younger sister Milagros. Harvey Guillen (What We Do in The Shadows), is in talks to join the film.
Quantum Leap
Quantum Leap is a sci-fi franchise about a man leaping through time and space with the hopes of ending up at home. The original series starred Scott Bakula. A sequel series is currently in the works. The Crow and Ghostbusters star, Ernie Hudson, has been cast for the project. Hudson will be one of the leads for the show. Does that mean he will be our main Quantum Leaper? Or will we have more than one time traveler?
Dune 2
Florence Pugh continues her mission for global domination. The Oscar-nominated actress has set her sights on the planet Arrakis. Pugh will be playing the role of Princess Irulan in the sequel to 2021’s Dune. Princess Irulan Corrino is a royal who becomes romantically entangled with Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides.
