5 Nerdy Events to Attend in Pennsylvania – Fandom Spots

Fandom Spotlite is known for covering conventions near and far! It is part of our mission to make the World of Fandom accessible to all.  Part of that is making sure you know about the fun fandom events happening where YOU live.  The Fandom Spots category was created to help you follow your fandom.

Pennsylvania is known for playing a pivotal role in the creation of The United States of America. It is also the home to great sports teams like the Eagles, Steelers, Phillies, Penguins, and The Union to name a few. The historical state has a thriving fandom scene for fans young and old.

Here are 5 Fandom Things To Do in Pennsylvania! 

January 27: Emotions at Play with Pixar’s Inside Out


Pixar’s Inside Out was an excellent film exploring human emotions and how they evolve with us as we get older.  Philadelphia’s Please Touch Museum‘s new exhibit allows fans of the film to explore the deep concepts of the film in a fun way! Emotions at Play with Pixar’s Inside Out is coming to Please Touch Museum on January 27! this exhibit invites children & their grown-ups to explore the world of emotions by learning how we express them, and how to recognize emotions in others. January 29: Storytime with Belle and Book Fair at Neshaminy Barnes and Noble

We here at Fandom Spotlite know that reading is the gateway to the World of Fandom. Books create portals to new worlds that help young minds develop creativity. Storytimes are a great way to continue fostering a love of books and fandom. BHS(Bensalem High School) Drama Club invites you to a special event in anticipation of their upcoming production of Beauty and the Beast! Please join them for a Storytime with Belle and Book Fair at Neshaminy Barnes and Noble on January 29, starting at 1 PM ET. There will be a storytime with Belle, musical performances, photo ops, and more. A percentage of the proceeds will go to the BHS Drama Club! February 3: Bikini Bottom Rave @ Underground Arts 2.3 


Who knows how to get lit under the seas? SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS! Who got all the moves and drops a sick beat? SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS! Underground Arts are back with another Bikini Bottom Rave.  It’s the nautical nonsense you’ve been wishing for but with dancing, drinks, and cool people. The Spongebob-themed rave is happening on February 3, 2023. Tickets are currently available now for purchase.

February 15: Marvel Cinematic Universe Quizzo

Join ThirstyDice for a night of Marvel trivia and fun as they celebrate the upcoming release of “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”! Test your knowledge of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and see if you have what it takes to become the ultimate Marvel fan. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams, so gather your friends and form a team to compete. February 24: Twin Peaks Dance Party (80’s New Wave)


Riot Nerd Philly
has brought back their Twin Peaks Dance Party! This fun event combines the mysterious and trippy aesthetics of the cult classic and combines it with 80’s new wave music. This can’t-miss party will be at The 700 on February 24th, starting at 10 PM ET. Guests must be 21+ with proper I.D. Snag your tickets now on their Eventbrite Page.
