The wait is over.
Paramount Pictures has released the final trailer for Jackass Forever, which sees many of the old cast reuniting for more outrageous stunts and slapstick fun.
Fan favorites Johnny Knoxville, Chris Pontius, Steve-O, and Wee Man return to the popular stunt prank franchise which rose to fame two decades ago. The original cast are joined by newcomers Jasper Dolphin, his father Compston ‘Dark Shark’ Wilson, former Knoxville collaborator Eric Manaka, Rachel Wolfson, Zach Holmes, and Sean ‘Poopies’ McInerney for the upcoming release.
In the trailer, the usual insanity ensues as bodies fly through the air, portable toilets blow up, and members of the team come face to face with a Texas Rattlesnake!
(No, Steve Austin is not making a cameo!)
An official description for the films reads:
“Celebrating the joy of being back together with your best friends and a perfectly executed shot to the dingdong, the original jackass crew return for another round of hilarious, wildly absurd, and often dangerous displays of comedy with a little help from some exciting new cast. Johnny and the team push the envelope even further in Jackass Forever.”
One of the more notable absentees from the film is Bam Margera who won’t be returning due to a number of personal issues including addiction problems and rifts between himself and other members of the cast. Margera has even submitted a lawsuit against the production claiming his intellectual property rights are being infringed upon.
The film’s lead Johnny Knoxville recently spoke about Margera, stating:
“We want Bam to be happy and healthy and get the help he needs.”
He has also spoken about the film being the last time he will be involved in the franchise, stating he cannot continue taking chancing with his health:
“You can only take so many chances before something irreversible happens. I feel like I’ve been extremely lucky to take the chances I’ve taken and still be walking around.”
In preparation for the release, Knoxville is teaming up with WWE to promote Jackass Forever as he takes part in the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble Match – Is there one more big bump on the cards?
Jackass Forever will hit theatres on February 4th.
