An unfortunately not impressive March reading wrap-up hits this year.
While I got half-way through a book club book, and have three books piling up (two ARCs and one new Warriors book) waiting for me, I am trying to be okay with only really reading two and a half books for March. My goal is to always read between three-five, often going beyond that.
The truth is, March was so busy for me in a good way that I didn’t have the time or stamina to read. The two I managed to finish were good, at least! I also finished a very adult read in the nick of time, but I will not be sharing. Plus, I finished a book for work right at the start of April, too (included in April’s wrap-up).
2. Margin of Error by Rachel Lacey
Published February 3, 2026

Rating: 3.75-4 stars
Genres: Romance, Contemporary, LGBTQ+, Sapphic, Lesbian
Summary: Marin is determined to take her second chance at life after two years have passed since her nearly fatal accident. She divorced her husband, left her job, and moved from the city to a small town to teach statistics at Northshire University. She’s also newly trying to date women. Of course, she didn’t expect to see the beautiful woman she’s been fantasizing about since her accident. Charlotte is impacted by that fateful day, too. She’s returned to her hometown to solve her mother’s disappearance only, not become fast, close friends with the woman she thought died two years ago. The more time Marin and Charlotte spend together, the closer they become. Their chemistry is too strong to deny, but will they fall and stay together?
I adored Learning Curves, so I was really thinking forward to Lacey’s next novel. This one didn’t hit the same for me, unfortunately. The mystery with Charlotte’s mom was too loosely tied in. A lot of the plot points seemed a bit flimsy in general. I was hoping for more tension between Charlotte and Marin, too. It was all very no-drama. I love the healthy adult conversations Lacey writes into her stories, but for some reason it was maybe.. boring this time around? The story did have great elements, though: surviving, finding oneself, mending relationships. It had an adorable puppy, too! I find it hard to judge any sapphic romance too critically, which lead me to my rating.
1. Chasing Red by Alix Marren
Published October 24, 2026

Rating: 4.75 stars
Genres: Romance, Spicy, LGBTQ+, Lesbian, Sapphic
Summary: A steamy sapphic workplace romance that starts with a one-night-stand from a work party and leads to a genuine connection. Josephine ‘Jo’ Blake is lower on the totem pole as an analyst at the company, her boss taking credit for her hard work. Alexandra ‘Alex’ Morgan is the new cold-hearted and ruthless VP, with a reputation of cleaning up. This relentless pursuit from Jo turns into a game of coded messages until Alex has no point but to crack.
Okay… So this read is also very adult, very steamy. I wouldn’t usually share a read like this one in my reading wrap-ups, but I’m desperate to have more than ONE book included. I can make exceptions to my own rules. Just be aware it is 18+.
I wanted something easy, fast-paced, and full of tension and yearning. This hit the mark exactly. I’d ironically been craving a workplace romance, too, so I was ecstatic that Kindle Unlimited recommended it. The “chase” from Jo to Alex was well-written. I devoured every word. Alex and Jo’s dynamic was lovingly supportive too, showcasing how powerful women should get the credit they deserve. If anything, it ended too early. I wanted more scenes of them navigating their relationship! I will say, some repetitiveness in the language was a bit annoying. The writing originally felt a bit mediocre, until the relationship picked up.
