Horror legends Tom Savini and John Russo gave a panel at Steel City Con December 2022 to talk about their careers, experiences, and to answer fan questions.
Tom Savini created amazing makeup and visual effects in Day of the Dead but is also known for his work on Friday the 13th, Creepshow, Dawn of the Dead, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, The Black Phone, Red Scorpion, and many more. As an actor, he was Sex Machine (and killed Danny Trejo) in From Dusk Till Dawn but is also known for his roles in Dawn of the Dead, Machete, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Lost Boys: The Tribe, NOS4A2, and Locke and Key.
John Russo is the writer behind George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead and is also known for writing Midnight, Midnight 2, The Return of the Living Dead, The Majorettes, Voodoo Dawn, Santa Claws, and My Uncle John Is a Zombie!
