Beaming Back Up
J.J. Abrams announced plans for a fourth Star Trek film at the Paramount Investors Day presentation. The film will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) with Abrams producing. Paramount is hoping to see the return of Abram’s Enterprise ensemble, including Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldaña, and John Cho. Filming for the Star Trek film will take off in late 2022 for a December 22, 2023 arrival in theaters.
Who Ordered More Turtles?
Here is the first look at concept art for Seth Rogen’s TMNT film. The upcoming Rogen-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie coming in 2023 will be followed by the launch of a new series of films focused on the villains. These movies will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ starting in 2023.
Knuckle Up
We still haven’t seen his first formal appearance in the upcoming movie Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the character Knuckles has been confirmed to be getting his own TV series on Paramount+ in 2023. Actor Idris Elba has been confirmed to also be portraying the character again in the upcoming TV show. Paramount must really see Knuckles’ potential from the version of the film they have seen.
Rescue Rangers Like You’ve Never Seen Them Before
Rescuing the world takes a pair. Chip’ n Dale: Rescue Rangers, an Original movie, streaming May 20, 2022, on Disney Plus.
Rohirrim Calls for Aid
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim anime movie from New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Animation is set for release on April 12, 2024. The movie explores and expands the untold story behind the fortress of Helm’s Deep, delving into the life and bloodsoaked times of one of Middle-earth’s most legendary figures: the mighty King of Rohan – Helm Hammerhand.
