The 95th Academy Awards are now less than one month away. After the nominees were announced back in January, movie lovers around the globe have been sharing their hopes and speculations across the 23 categories (personally, I just want Brendan Frasier to win Best Actor, because as I expressed in my review, I thought his performance in The Whale was incredible). One of the most highly anticipated categories is Best Picture. 10 films have been nominated for this accolade: Malte Grunert’s All Quiet On The Western Front, James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water, Graham Broadbent’s The Banshees of Inisherin, Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert’s Everything Everywhere All At Once, Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans, Todd Field’s Tàr, Joseph Kosinski’s Top Gun: Maverick, Ruben Östlund’s Triangle of Sadness, and Dede Gardner’s Women Talking.
If you didn’t get the chance to watch all of these films, or if you want a refresher before the Oscars, Regal Cinemas has you covered with their Best Picture Film Festival. During the first two weeks of March, participating Regal theaters will be playing all 10 movies that have been nominated for Best Picture. All films are shown three times, except for Avatar: The Way of Water, which only has two showings (one in 3D, and one in 2D).
