This past weekend proved that Minecraft is here to stay. The movie did massive numbers once again while an animated film surprised everyone. Here are your weekend box office results.
1. The Minecraft Movie continues to be the biggest hit of 2025 so far. In its second weekend, the movie took in another 78 million dollars. Worldwide, the movie has made about 550 million dollars. The movie doesn’t really have any competition in the upcoming weeks. It wouldn’t be crazy to say this movie could easily reach one billion dollars.
2. The King of Kings made 19.3 million dollars. This would be surprising, but religious-based films usually make good money during the Easter season. It probably also helps that the movie being animated draws younger audiences.
3. The Amateur made 14 million dollars. The action thriller has received mixed reviews but was still successful enough to land the number 3 spot.
4. Warfare made 8.3 million dollars. The new war movie has an impressive cast and excellent reviews even though it isn’t doing that well in the box office department.
5. Drop took in 7.3 million dollars granting it the 5th spot. This is not great but because it is a Blumhouse production, this is just fine. The movie has already just about made back its budget worldwide.
