Gil Gerard and Felix Silla of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century appeared at Retro Con 2019! In their 40th anniversary panel, they bantered, spoke about the show, answered fan questions and bantered some more!
The year is 1987 and NASA launches the last of America’s deep space probes. Well, that’s what they thought might happen in the 1979 show Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Gil Gerard played Captain William “Buck” Rogers who returned to Earth 500 years after he left it. Felix Silla played Twiki, a small droid that was Buck’s companion and walked around with Dr. Theopolis on his chest. Felix did not voice the character, but wore the costume that created the character Twiki. Felix has also been Cousin Itt in the Addams Family, and Ewok in Star Wars Return of the Jedi and a Dink in Spaceballs, among other roles. Gil Gerard has also appeared in Sidekicks, Nightingales, and has played many voice acting roles as well.
