This release follows the premiere of the animated series Critical Role: The Mighty Nein on Prime Video. The webcomic serves as a prequel for the show and inspiration for its campaign.
CRMNO is another project available to WEBTOON readers after their recent partnership with Dark Horse Comics. The cast of Critical Role, a tabletop gaming group (Dungeons & Dragons) who made a web series of their campaign, was in collaboration as well.
