We ask veteran director Jack Sholder, what DOES a director do? You see those words “Directed by” flash by on the screen, but what is the job of a director other than yelling “action” and “cut?” Jack is the director of Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge, The Hidden, Wishmaster 2, Alone in the Dark and many more. He gives you a glimpse into the world of directing.

Jack Sholder has directed many films, TV movies and TV episodes in his career. We had a chance to speak with him at Lehigh Valley Comic Con and ask him to explain the job of a director. While it would take a much longer time to explain all the duties in detail, Jack describes the process a director goes through to tell a proper story and how he directs very talents people at every turn.
In addition to the films mentioned above, Jack has directed 12:01, Arachnid, The Omen (TV movie) and episodes of Mortal Kombat: Conquest, Gabriel’s Fire and Tremors, to name a few.
