A brand new original horror from Scream writer Kevin Williamson is on the way, and today we got out first look at the film with the release of an official trailer – which you can check out below. Titled Sick, the film is described as a “pandemic slasher,” that follows a group of youngsters at an isolated lakeside cabin as they begin to be stalked by a killer.
A full synopsis reads:
“As the pandemic steadily brings the world to a halt, Parker and her best friend Miri decide to quarantine at the family lake house alone—or so they think.”
The film sees Scream writer Kevin Williamson team up with Katelyn Crab to pen the script. Directorial duties handed to John Hyams (Alone).
Starring in the new quarantine slasher are Gideon Adlon (The Craft: Legacy), Bethlehem Million (And Just Like That), Marc Menchaca (Ozark) and Jane Adams (Twin Peaks).
Sick debuted at Fantastic Fest last September, and has been met with positive reviews so far, with critics calling it “an effective slasher,” and “the most inspired pandemic movie so far.”
Sick will release exclusively on Peacock on January 13th.
