DC League of Super-Pets Releases Brand New Trailer

Just because they’re super – doesn’t make them heroes.

Warner Bros. has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming animated adventure DC League of Super-Pets.

This second official trailer gives us a closer look at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Krypto the Super-Dog as he is forced to team up with a whole new breed of superhero.

In the film, Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack – Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel – to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the Super Heroes.

Check out the trailer below.

The star-studded voice ensemble cast includes Kevin Hart as Ace, Vanessa Bayer as PB, Natasha Lyonne as Merton, Diego Luna as Chip, John Krasinski as Superman and Keanu Reeves as Batman.

Warner Bros. teams up with Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions for the release which is directed by Jared Stern.

Stern, a veteran writer/consultant on the LEGO movies, makes his animated feature film directorial debut, directing from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator John Whittington, based on characters from DC, Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

DC League of Super-Pets hits theatres on July 22nd.
