There are 2 things in life we can all agree on: One, We ALL don’t like sand! It’s coarse, rough and irritating. And it gets everywhere. Next is that we all LOVE tattoos! Whether you have them, want them, or just admire them from afar like the twin suns of Tatooine. Tattoo love “is the way”.
So in honor of how AMAZING the Obi-Wan series has been on Disney+. With its final episode airing this Wednesday. Here are my top 10 amazing Star Wars-themed tattoos (in no particular order):
As seen here on POPSUGAR. The image of Luke gazing at the twin suns of Tatooine is perfectly captured in this minimalistic but incredible intricate piece.
Found on Pinterest. Line work is paramount with any great tattoo. And this artist absolutely nails it here, depicting some of the most iconic Star Wars Ships!
Looking like something straight out of the movie, I don’t think anything more needs to be said about this piece other than WIZARD!
You cant help but get euphoric nostalgia when looking at this watercolor-themed tat. Why don’t we watercolor anymore? Let’s bring it back. This is the way.
We are coming in too hot at the halfway mark with this couple’s paired tattoo. I’m going to believe this is an alternate timeline in which Anakin does not turn to the Dark Side and him and Padme get some sick ink at a bar in Mos Espa after their wedding.
Got to show love to the sleeves! Being sleeved one myself, I have to respectfully give a Jedi bow to both artist and canvas ( Maser and apprentice). I can only imagine the time, dedication, and pain management that went into this masterpiece.
Besides being a fabulous tattoo, we are giving this one ALL the style points! Originality, creativity, uniqueness. All of it!
Photorealism is one of the hardest tattooing styles to master. But I think we can all agree this artist Obi WON this challenge.
Bulba-Fett!!!! That is all..
Finally, rounding out our list is everyone’s favorite child: Grogu! Of course, he would be our last entry. But you already knew that, didn’t you? 3D tattoos are a newer style of tattooing. Consequently, it has exploded into becoming one of the premier styles of modern tattoos. Beautifully done is the combination of 3D, solid line work, and eye-catching color. Undoubtedly, a piece this bold and breathtaking can only be paid the highest honors. So hence forth it shall be known as Grand Ink-quisitor.
In conclusion, whether you watch it or wear it, Star Wars has left an imprint on people all over the world. For some its just a little bit more permanent than others. May the force be with us all.
