6 More Scorpio Anime Characters

Less than one week remains of Scorpio season, and it is my sacred duty to honor more Scorpio anime characters before the season ends. When I kicked off Year 2 of my anime zodiac series last month, I was able to serve up another full serving of 12 Libra characters; however, the other signs appear to be more elusive, so for the remainder of this series I will be cutting the lists in half. Now without further ado, here is a quick new list of Scorpio anime characters!

Emi Yusa (The Devil is a Part-Timer!) – October 25

Emi showcases the passionate willpower of a Scorpio. Whether she’s saving humanity from Satan’s lust for world domination or working in a customer service call center, she gives it her all. Scorpios are rarely braggarts, though, so she remains humble—although that may just be her being a tsundere.

Shinra Kusakabe (Fire Force) – October 29

Scorpios are known for their intensity—a trait not everyone can handle. In Shinra’s case, his intensity is all in his smile. He is the type of person who laughs when he’s nervous, angry, or otherwise upset. This can be unnerving enough on its own, but Shinra’s shark-toothed grin is downright horrifying, especially when it appears in situations of heightened stress and fire is involved.

Rin Hoshizora (Love Live! School Idol Project) – November 1

Rin may seem a little too adorable to belong to an astrological sign represented by a deadly scorpion, but don’t be fooled by her cat-like persona: she is one tough cookie. She is an athletic tomboy who is also capable of embracing her feminine side despite a history of being bullied for wearing skirts. In addition, despite her propensity for mischief, she is a dedicated and affectionate friend.

Yukihira Soma (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) – November 6

Rin isn’t the only mischievous scorpion on this list. Despite being an incredibly talented chef, one of Yukihira’s favorite pastimes is concocting the most unpalatable atrocities possible and forcing people to eat them. Moreover, he never backs down from a challenge; in fact, he is often the one issuing the challenge. He may come from a humble background, but his tenacity and creativity put him on par with some of the world’s most talented cooks.

Kiritsugu Emiya (Fate/) – November 11

Scorpios are usually associated with darkness, and Kiritsugu certainly has his fair share of gloom in his life. With a wife who was created in a lab and was not supposed to feel human emotions, a daughter who was only permitted to be born because he and his wife were probably going to die in a war, and an adopted son who was the sole survivor of a devastating fire that Kiritsugu himself accidentally started, it’s only natural that he has such a somber disposition.

Nobuchika Ginoza (Psycho-Pass) – November 21

Daddy issues and a brooding, no-nonsense personality are quite fitting for a mysterious Scorpio. Ginoza is a rigid, hardworking detective; unfortunately, this attitude eventually leads to his downfall. On the bright side, though, he also ends up getting the Princess Diaries treatment in which he stops wearing glasses and suddenly becomes hotter. They do say that Scorpios have a special seductive allure to them…

Did this list add any Scorpios you had hoped to see in my first list last year? Let me know in the comments!
