The Combiner Wars Platinum Edition Liokaiser is an homage to the original G1 Japanese Transformer combiner. Captain Kyle checks out this Decepticon team, who has a new leader and some members have new names. Captain Kyle reviews this gestalt and gives his verdict.
The G1 Liokaiser was formed from Leozak, Drillhorn, Guyhawk, Hellbat, Jallguar, and Killbison. They were the Breastforce, a team of Breastmasters (yeah, that’s what they were called) who used their combined form to stomp a lot of Autobot heroes. This Combiner Wars version removes Leozak and Jallguar from the team and replaces them with Dezarus (who is a nod to the G1 Deathsaurus) and Ion Scythe, who is more of a Targetmaster partner. While Guyhawk and Drillhorn retained their names, Hellbat became Fellbat and Killbison was renamed Ironbison. Despite the change in lineup, Captain Kyle got this set to review and see if it’s cool.
