Actress Hayden Panettiere passed away on Sunday, August 16th in Greenville, South Carolina, just five days before her 37th birthday. The cause of death has not yet been identified.
Hayden Panettiere’s acting career began when she was a very young girl and spanned a variety of genres and mediums. In 2005, she played the leading (human) role in Racing Stripes as well as one of the co-leads in Disney’s Ice Princess. She would later go on to star in two drama TV series: Heroes (as Claire Bennet) and Nashville (as Juliette Barnes). Horror lovers know her as Kirby Reed from Scream 4 and many were ecstatic to see her reprise the role 12 years later in Scream VI. She was also an accomplished voice actress, appearing in animated films including A Bug’s Life (as Dot the ant princess), Dinosaur (as Suri the lemur), and Alpha and Omega (as the female protagonist Kate) as well as in video games including Until Dawn (as Samantha) and the English dub of Kingdom Hearts (as Kairi). Her most recent role was the lead in psychological horror film Sleepwalker, which was released in US theaters just eight months before her passing. Even more recently, she published her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, a mere two months ago.

We at Fandom Spotlite would like to express our condolences to Panettiere’s family, friends, and fans.
